Private Residence

The project involved an apartment located in the residential "Hills" of La Spezia, inside a building undergoing renovation. The planned operations were: complete revision of all the partitions, the flooring, the systems with the introduction of innovative materials and products such as the resin, the indirect LED illumination, a home automation system able to control lighting, burglar alarm and the air conditioning, the gas fireplace, etc... In the apartment, conceived for a young couple with children, the clean white is the backdrop of the natural essence of polished oak. The chosen materials give naturalness, three-dimensionality and enrich an atmosphere balanced in all its aspects, by reinforcing the contemporary style of the apartment. The kitchen with a centered island communicates directly with the dining area. In the living room, the spaces are further delineated by the plasterboard ceiling, which visually reinforces the centrality of the environment. Throughout the apartment, the technical illuminated bodies and the ambient lighting are carefully dosed within the spaces, by giving a sense of sophistication to the whole thing. Through the passageway, you can access to the sleeping area: this space is like an anonymous filter where the only unexpected element is the cutting of light which runs along the entire ceiling. The sleeping area is divided into a fluid succession of connected spaces, characterized by rigid geometries: the bedroom is enhanced by a glimpse of the bathroom, which thanks to its spatial articulation is able to accommodate all of the bathroom moments. Great importance was also given to the terrace located in the living area, where the teak planks used have allowed the inclusion of lighting on the floor.
